01 Prius P3125 Bad Inverter and mystery codes.

    You can flip the inverter upside down on the bench. The DC-DC converter is underneath the metal pan. Fuses usually don't fail by themselves on this component; the root cause must be determined. I have seen failed transistors here. However, they are difficult to source for most folks. If you have a failed DC-DC converter, it's usually easier to simply replace the inverter assembly.

    A friend of mine that works on alot of Toyotas looked at my car today.

    His determination: the 12v battery is bad! (autozone confirmed)

    I ordered a new one, it will be here Wed. $135 ouch!

    Could this be the cause of all the problems?

    Possibly, if the battery condition is severely degraded beyond the usual "needs replacement" state.
