Yeah, looked at it again. The screen capture was the item sold on Walmart.com but it is sold by a third party.
Mobil 1 0W-20 Advanced Fuel Economy Full Synthetic Motor Oil, 5 qt. - Walmart.com

You can buy the same thing from Walmart at a substantially less price.

If I lived in Denver I would use 0-16 in the winter and 0-20 in the summer but I live in Florida and I pull trailers and all my Priuses have more than 150,000 miles and they're all third gen Priuses and temperatures seldom drop below 70 Fahrenheit at night so I use 0W-40 certainly there's some wiggle room here but this is probably sensible given the circumstances.

Mendel is that oil the new SP formulation ilsac GF6?

0W-8? Dang, that's going to be like putting olive oil in the car....so thin!!

I don't know when Toyota switched, but my wife 2017 Prius calls for only 0W-20 but my 2021 Prius calls for 0W-16. While I believe it's the same 2ZR-FXE ICE engine, on the door sticker, the 21 says "ZVW55L-AHXEBA" and the 17 says, "ZVW50L-AHXEBA" (The only visible difference under the hood, that I've found, is the 21 has an old-school radiator cap next to the overfill tank while the 17 does not.)

If found a note online that said "The Toyota Prius had a facelift in 2018" and suspect this was one of the changes.

For motor oil, I've sometimes found Amazon Basics motor oil prices pretty cheap and they are produced by Warren Distribution out of Nebraska. I've seen testing on them and seems to be as good as Mobile- One so I've tried it and couldn't tell the difference.

Kirkland oil is reputedly made by Warren. I expect Costco had one criteria beside the Kirkland moniker: it HAD to be a two-pack, lol.

Walmart Super Tech is also made by Warren Distribution.

Anyone here hooked up an oil pressure gauge to any of these engines and created a rough chart of oil pressure versus outside temperature at various RPMs?

Actually, it can be done very easily on Toyotas. There are two M18x1.5 treaded ports on each oil filter adapter. All you'd need is an adapter from the oil pressure gauge to this port. The plug has the same 10mm hex socket as the transaxle drain and fill plugs.

Oh, to answer my own question: inlet/outlet for some sort of oil cooler? But that's more a transmission thing.

Has anybody put an oil pressure gauge on one of these engines with 0W-16 or 0W-20 oil in it and seen what the actual pressures are?

Ended up getting the above through Costco, for $59.99 CDN, with free delivery.
