I bought what I thought was going to be the standard Salsa Red 04-05 1/30 scale official Toyota prius model that they have over in Japan. To my surprise I received a 2006 Barcelona Red code 3R3! :D :D :D I also bought that nice blue that they have over in Japan. These new models can be found at http://www.toyeast.com for about $80. They have the hybrid emblem on the side above the side marker, silver grille, looks like the extended rear spoiler like the touring edition has ( I cant really tell but it looks longer than it should ), rubber antenna and side mirrors so you cant break them off, and best of all THEY HAVE A PULL BACK MOTOR! :D The pull back motor takes up part of the trunk and most of the rear seats. The two front doors open. The only down side is that its right hand drive. :( But since its a Japanese Prius we don't have to worry about adding the EV button! ;) I only wish it had the lower front spoiler and the colored lower rear spoiler then all I would have to do is add my racing hubcaps and my license plate and it would be just like my Prius.

If you decide to get an 06 from toyeast you may want to email them and see if they have the 06 in your color code. The color code was printed on the box but not the model year. The 06 may be shipped in a white box. I think the others were shipped in a yellow box.

Here are some pictures of my collection.

    Nice collection. B)

Your site reminded me that I also have the Gran Turismo 2004 Toyota edition for the PS2. It features the Prius. :D

I think I need to update my thread about wanting that game.

    I got them at www.toyeast.com

You may want to reupload your picture. I only get to see about %20 of the top then it stops. :(

[edit] Never mind I see it now. :) That would be a nice feature to the real Prius.

What's another word for obsessed? Just kidding...what a great collection! My husband thinks I'm a huge dork b/c I have black and silver 1/34 pull-backs that I got from Rufaro a few months back and I keep them on the kitchen counter. But then again he's the one who puts them on the floor and makes them race each other, LOL.

I think I have the obsession for Prius toy cars- about a stable of 40 of different sizes , shapes, etc. Notice 1/110 size.(3rd shelf down right) , Car Magnets (Toyota Museum in Japan), a couple of 1/30 from Toyota, a couple of Minichamps from Europe, scorpio prius, etc.

Top 9 cars by @car - website no longer works.
Top row- Toyota 1/30 car from Japan (Toyeast sells them for $$$), next 1/34 size (I sell), Car magnets from Toyota Museum in Japan (from Speedracer), smallest Tomica- plastic body- sold in gumaball machines

3rd row down- Most of the Tomicas plus 1/150 size by Model Planning (company now bankrupt) .

Most of them were obtained from friends in Japan.

What I REALLY want is a Radio Controlled Prius. There is one but very ellusive...

I think it might be helpful for those of us who are "Prisessed" (Prius obsessed/posessed - does that work for you, Rancid? :) ) to know where all of these WeePriis come from. I've found some of them at ToyEast, and some from Rufaro (more soon!), but I have yet to find the 'land speed' version, and I didn't know about the tiny ones until today. Maybe ToyEast, for instance, has certain ones available for only a limited time. Could one of the uh...more afflicted collectors maybe post a list? Thanks.

I would like to know where to get the magnets and the 110 cars. :D

I got my land speed from toyeast. Toyeast has them and then they are gone. They sell out quick.

I was thingking about gutting a match box size tomica and putting the zipzap guts in one.

Or find a 1:30 scale RC car the same scale size as the Prius and fit it into the shell of the 1:30 Prius.

I've got a collection too. I'll take pictures later and try to post them later. I have the black Minichamps 1/43 scale Prius(only 1008 of them were made), The 1/34 scale Prius that inventor00 sells, 2 Tomica 1/60 scale Prii and the Toyota Offically Licensed 1/30 scale 2006/7 Prius sold by Toyeast.

    :)

I searched the web for Toy Prius cars and found the ToyEast car for $80. Feeling flush and thinking it was better than the PriusChat car offered by Rufaro, I went ahead and ordered it, thinking it would be some special Official Toyota model car. It arrived and I think it is exactly like the ones Rufaro sells for $10, so I'm out $70! The one from ToyEast has a pull-back motor, the front two doors open, and it is a left-hand drive, just like Rufaro's. Can someone tell me if I was duped?

Thanks for the fast response. I posted from work without my toy car in hand. Now that I look at it, and the photo you pointed out showing the 1/30 and 1/34 together, I see mine is a better model. And, on the underside it says 1/30 size. I was philosophical about paying $80, and had accepted that I got a nice little model, regardless of whether I could have gotten the same thing for $10. So now I'm happy it's such a worthy deal, and ToyEast is a good vendor!
    Thanks! Stephen
