10 amp heater fuse blown

    My heater fuse blows only when needing heat doesn't blow when AC is set to max cold Replaced the heater control valve still blowing the 10 amp fuse only on heat

    That fuse provides 12V to the electric air conditioning coolant pump (not to be confused with the main engine coolant pump which is driven by the serpentine belt) which circulates engine coolant when the engine is not running. That pump probably has a short in the motor which is causing the 10A fuse to blow.
