100k miles maintenance

    So I'm about to hit 100k miles in my 2012 Prius and I was wondering what kind of maintenance I should do on it. I bought the car with 90k miles on it, and the person that owned it before me only did oil changes on it. Right now I have changed the cabin filter, engine filter, and did an oil change myself. Should I do anything else?

    yes, there is a maintenance schedule in the owners manual.

    on top of toyota's recommendations, you may want to change the tranny fluid, and clean the egr and intake manifold.

    Ok, there's no exact schedule in my manual more of just all of the things you can do. As for the transmission, I'll go get some transmission fluid later. But the EGR and intake how would I go about cleaning that would something like seafoam work?

    idk, i'm only at 55,000. there are some seafoam threads here, and did you look at youtube?

    Thanks for the link! I figured I had to do those things but do things like the brake fluid need to be changed out as well? I just want to be thorough
    Yes, I did it seems to be the only thing that actually cleans debris effectively. I don't have the knowledge to clean those parts by hand.

    Brake fluid builds up moisture over time. Obviously Miami will have more moisture in the air than Phoenix, so it is not usually a 'miles or months' kind of maintenance item. You can use testers to determine moisture.

    Ok, everything seems easy enough to do I'll go to the store later and buy the stuff. Thanks for all the help guys!
