add to that -- many american contributors to forums are
horrendously bad writers because they never paid attention
in school or while otherwise learning their own language
during childhood, and don't take the time and effort to
write coherent, well thought out posts. And since there's
so much illiterate posting flying around the net, they just
think that they don't have to make the effort because everyone
else is posting badly too so it doesn't matter. It's this
kind of dumbass complacency that's killing us.
    .
Well, if you take away nothing else from this: it's still a
credibility hit, no matter how good you think you are or what
the subject matter is. So make the effort. Quit mixing up
MPG versus MPH, knock off the excess "it's" misuse, check your
syntax, and make Priuschat and anywhere else you hang out
    a better place in general.

Is there a certain brand I should look for when it comes to solar rechargers?
    Do they deteriorate over time?
    Are they sensitive to vibration?

I think it would be pretty sweet for a manufacturer to make some sort of tint/solar recharger compbo. Something that we could use for the upper portion of the windshield or something.

I guess I could do a search, but there seems to be enough experience here to answer a few of these questions.

yes wy go and spend a lot of time when someone else is happy to help you out.

i think bad solar panels are not made anymore only if you go and buy somewhere you normaly dont buy anything.

solar panels have a life spant of 20 years or more

    dont now about the vibrations

    there is even solar foil
so in housing can be used instead of window glass or infront or behind it ans stil have light.

I appreciate the fact that lIon is doing a good job with the English language since it is not his native tongue. Like others, I have trouble following some of his posts, but at least he can get his message across in more than one language. I am trying to pick up another language and I can't write as well in it as lION does in English. I also appreciate the fact that lIon seems to love his Prius and is willing to share his modification adventures with posts and pictures.

Lol. I have traveled to 16 countries and I commend you for your ability to speak and write in multiple languages.

I get more annoyed at people who write like they are text messaging.

Refer to another post where I asked if he was indeed from another country but I never recieved a reply. If he cannot be bothered enough to make an attempt at spelling correctly then I shall not put forth the effort to read his posts. My input probably doesn't matter but there are many people who will misunderstand his posts or simply refuse to read them. The difference here is his lack of concern for correctness. I'm not an english major but at least I try my best to be correct. Langauge is too important to p1$$ away with deliberately careless typing.

    /rant off

lIon, had I known you were from another country I would not have even brought up the subject of your typing, however, your lack of concern does bug me. Consider us back on topic. If anyone feel the need to bring it up again feel free to PM me. :)

The thread won't be closed though I do agree that there's probably been enough off-topic discussion.
I think it is important that ALL of us do our best to communicate as clearly as possible. While it's clear that some bad grammar and typos are from laziness, some is for reasons of language barriers and other causes.
Ilon...While we will/should try to be understanding that you're from another country and English is not your primary language I do think that you should perhaps try harder to make your posts less frequent and more clear. In the short time you've been here you've posted prolificly...if you are going to post that much I think it's only fair to the forum that you strive to improve your language skills and not take offense when others question what you're saying or ask you to clarify. Keep an English dictionary handy or use an online one to check spelling before you post...there's a built in spell checker with the Priuschat software for goodness sake...it really can't be much easier to double check the spelling.
