    Hello Prius Bros/Sisters

My local battery shop has a Reconditioned Now - Optima Yellow Top 8171-767 for 54.99

The new one would be over 100 right?

Is it worth it to wait for the new one ?

Yes it's worth paying for a new one. Of course it'll be different if you plan on selling the car in a year

I'm guessing just hook up to a smart charger, run a full cycle. My CTEK 4.3 actually has a cycle called reconditioning. Pushes a little harder, higher voltage or something??

That and clean up the posts?

Buy the Optima locally. At Advance Auto Parts you buy it online and pick it up locally get a $50 gift card was $170 out the door.
If you have an issue with it its local and you can return it. if its shipped in then returns are a hassle. I bought mine locally.
But ...like all new battery's you never know what the charge it has on it so check before installing it. It may need a charge. Sometimes they charge it sometimes they don't and you don't know how long its been on there shelf.Hope you have a battery charger you should there very handy and cheap. Like $60 on Amazon for a nice one.
