The Toyota USA schedule ends at 120k miles. In my extrapolated spreadsheet (linked in post 2), I've basically restarted the schedule, ie: 130K is equivalent to 10K, 140K to 20K, and so on. Here's 20K (what's needed at 140k): And don't kid yourself, they're not doing all that other malarkey. The yellow highlight is basically all they'll do, and I would scrub the cabin air filter, just check it yourself and replace, if needed. Note too, the cabin filter change is only with "solar roof". But yeah, just check it yourself.
@H.S. Sorry; they should replace the spark plugs, do a litmus and glycol test of the coolant, and test the brake fluid (not just visual inspect) - If that hasn't been done in the past services; IMHO. At that mileage; I would probably install a HUD to monitor and alert me if the coolant temperature gets too high. The electric ICE coolant pump has been know to get lazy/intermittent past 150K miles. If you don't catch that early enough, you could be in for a head gasket repair. Just my 2 cents..... Just for clarification; 'Inspect' is NOT a test - they just took a glance at it. You can't hide your lyin' eyes; by the Eagles. You can be sure of things by testing it properly - NOT just glancing at it. If you've got a LOT of experience glancing at it would be good enough. When I say LOTS of experience, I'm talking about an old gray hair mechanic, not 20 year old lube jockey.
My plugs are overdue yes but I shared screenshot what they offer to replace plus inspect at $372 which is lower than all mechanics I spoke with. Are they scamming Culver City Toyota ?
The theme is that you take the car to a mechanic to get it fixed correctly or prevent it from breaking down - which will save you money in the long run
