Hello my friends. i have 16 prius c with 70K miles purchased from auction with minor front collusion . this is our 6-th Prius c great cars. Damage was so light that nothing in front moved or replaced except bumper only. frame and reinforcement everything else is in proper position. after repairs i drove the car for 3 days going to work and home 35-50 mph max and car drove perfect. 4th day i drive the car on expressway 70mph for 15-20 minutes and randomly seems like bottom of the engine made ratteling noise something was moving car lost power and got a error that said something like "check hybrid system overheating " parked and towed it back to my warehouse. next day drove the car its perfect again and this time only went around the block and car had no errors but i parked it till mechanic checked it. next day randomly started the car but hybrid battery is not charging , gas engine is not starting (felt like it was trying to start but didnt. and got whole xmas tree on dash . one of my good mechanic checked it and engine did start but felt liek when you put car in drive engine /transmission was jumping every few inches it was a super rough feel so we turned it off. hybrid battery is 100% perfect we checked . all filters cleared up he only has one code that says P3147 and he said you have to change the transmission . before i invest more in this vehicle , any suggestions here from hybrid experts that we should trouble shoot before taking big step of changing to a used salvage transmission ? thank you very much for reading my long story and thank you in advance for your time and suggestions.
