'16 Prius not reading text messages

    Hi everyone. I have synced my iPhone 5s to the Prius and allowed notifications on the phone. The car will read the text messages out loud right away. Once the car is turned off it then asks if I want to set up messaging again. I've unsynced and synced numerous times and the same thing is happening. Any suggestions on how to correct it to enable o car to always read the text messages??

    Have you tried un-pairing the phone on both the car and the phone then re-pairing the phone to the car?

    Yes I have done that several times. I have deleted the phone from the car and the car from the phone and resynced several times.

    In the Bluetooth settings on your iPhone turn on 'show notifications'

    I have done that. It works while the car is on but as soon as the car is shut off and turned on the next time, the message setup is gone

    I have the lastest iOS installed on an iPhone 5s.
