Just did my first 10K mile oil change, and I'm posting my UOA results plus an oil analysis of new Mobil 1 0W-20. I had extracted a sample at 15K miles for an intermediate UOA, and that's on the UOA report as well.

There were still significant additives (TBN) left in the oil after 10K miles. I'll probably do another extract at 25K miles to track the iron and aluminum levels.

As I've reported in another thread, the engine access door "hinge" is starting to tear off, and I expect I'll have to remount the access door with some alternative hinge at the 30K oil change.

    Here's the original oil analysis:

Thanks for the virgin oil sample! Great to see those numbers as well.

Should I glean from this report that I shouldn't be too concerned about waiting until the 10,000 mile mark to get the first oil change, with normal driving conditions?

I take it as strong evidence that going 10K miles between oil changes on Mobil 1 0W20 won't hurt the engine, and the oil still has sufficient lubricating qualities. Note that I'm using the TRD oil filter which is better than the stock filter. I'm a pretty moderate driver in general.
