2 Cameras in the back? What for?

    I was loading some luggage into my 2017 Prius two and I noticed 2 cameras in the rear. One camera is obviously for the back up camera but what is the purpose of the 2nd camera?

    One camera is located above license plate (probably the backup camera) and other is inside car pointing out of that small glass part in the tailgate.

    Did you buy your car used? Maybe someone installed a dashcam in the rear.

    Yeah I bought it used. It probably is a rear dashcam, I'll try to find the model number and research if I can use it somehow.

    definitely a dash cam. should ask original owner. i have one on my gen 4 as well, but i have a viofo
