After reading through some of the camping and towing posts, I thought I'd add a hitch to my recently acquired Prius. However, all my attachments are for a 2" receiver. It seems only a 1-1/4" receiver is sold these days. I guess I could buy one and put a 2" receiver on it, or buy an adapter, neither of which are all that appealing. Does anyone have a 2" hitch they'd be willing to sell me? The one Coastal EV used to sell is no longer made, and I haven't received a response from them to see if they could make me one.

Thanks! Although that's the same design that caused Carl at priusdiy to melt the rear spoiler. Hmmm. Good to know though!

Melt the spoiler? How did that happen?

I think peecee means splitter. Splitter is the part on the bottom of rear bumper. Metal bar connecting the receiver to the bolts, that originally connect tow hook, on the right side of a Prius, cause exhaust gas to be diverted onto the splitter. And then splitter will melt.
