There's a prius for sale in my area that has the following error as pictured.

I don't own a prius but I'm curious if this means it needs a new battery?

This is for a 2004 prius with under 50k miles, thanks!!!!

If seller is legit. They should have no problem allowing you to have the dealer or Prius mechanic take a reading on their TIS scanner. If seller gives you grief about it they are screaming to you that they are trying to rip you off.

If a local PC member is available with a TIS miniVCI, maybe they can help out???

Okay, that is a plug of EV. So the previous pic must mean the car is not plugged in. Okay obvious but you should get a reading prior to purchase at a minimum.
