Thanks. Out of all the movie posters I liked her coming out of the fire the best. I just rented the movie "Christine" last weekend while I was sick. Hadn't seen it since it was made. Cool to see the gas station explosion scene again. I remember when they did that in my town. We thought we were getting a new station and then one night boom! I may remake the other movie posters some day for fun.

Thanks to iTunes, I just watched the first 2-part episode of Knight Rider. I can't believe I never saw it. Almost all filmed in my town also (same with Dukes of Hazard and some of "24"). Everything still looks the same after 20 somthing years. It's wierd.

What do you wanna bet we see a movie version of Knight Rider some day? That would suck. Tomorrow I'll watch the one where KITT faces off with KARR.

As for voting, I've been looking but haven't narrowed it down. When does the voting end?

Since my last name is Kelly, I've felt kinship to Jack since he appeared. And I found a few avatars featuring him---just not quite the right one. But I think you might see him up there in the future.

I want Jack to marry the Corpse Bride. She's my kinda woman. We'd keep each other in stitches. :p

Tim Burton's my kinda movie guy. Danny Elfman, too.

This thread is sort of a half-baked nominating process. The poll/contest will go up in about a week.

Where have all the penguins gone?

Can we still vote for them, or does the avatar have to be current?

    Nice penguins, Kiloran. I'm impressed.

Would you happen to have a horse that morphs into a Prius that neighs and gallops off into the sunset?

Can sound be added to avatars?

My imagination is waaay ahead of my computer skills.

You sure do. Maggie may sue. Bad on you.

After seeing "March of the Penguins" last night (just posted on it in the movie thread), I don't like putting Donald Duck feet on penguins. Yeah, real penguin feet are among the ugliest things in the animal kingdom, but they're also cartoonable to dress them up a bit.

I'm in almost a worshipful mood toward our black-and-white brothers today. Please see the movie if you haven't.

I miss Maggie's penguins. They were so cute and mischievous.

(I think I'm getting Alzheimers. I could not remember the word mischievous. I had to look up travieso in my Spanish-English dictionary to find it.)

Okay. I'm not a fan of that sort of stuff. Fantasy-magic and all that.

Are you familiar with Siouxsie & the Banshees, the alternative '80s punk goth band? They did a song called "Christine."

Not to get too extremely off-topic again (see "Christine" above), but are/were you an Oingo Boingo fan? (Elfman's '80s band)

Loved their music. Get to hear it often on Sirius 1st Wave..... along with Siouxsie, Kate Bush, Bauhaus, etc......

Hmmm... sounds like I should start a Fred's thread on musicians who turn to writing soundtracks. (Elfman, Randy Newman, etc.)

    (I'm a big soundtrack listener/collector.)

 No, sound would be bad in an avatar. Can you imagine if everyone did that? All the sounds playing at once. There is a way it could be done though. If the web site (forum software) had a built-in swf (Flash) creator system in the edit avatar section. It could let you add a sound and everyone's Flash avatar would be made so that only the first sound that plays would be heard (usualy the first avatar on each page from the top) and would mute the others. That is possible only if they are all made the same way. I've done it before but don't think any forums can do it.

When you hear a Flash advertisment banner, it's the only one on the page.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I listened to KISS FM with Rick Dees in the 80's which was more mainstream music. Only heard thier more popular hits. Once again, thanks to iTunes, I can check it out.
