Smashed in the backseat door driver's side.
    Quoted $2000 at body shop.
Is it an easy swap out if I find one at a junk yard?

You can get a complete door for about $200 on craigslist....if that's all that's damaged

It's very easy, unbolt and disconnect wires......then bolt on new door and connect wires.

If you find a door on craigslist, most likely that person selling can put on the door for you.

What was the quote for exactly?

One thing, if you find a door in your colour, get it installed and aligned correctly (alignment can be tricky), you'll very likely see an obvious transition, the paint will never match. When a body shop quotes $2000 it should entail repainting the panels adjacent to the damage as well: gradually thinning out the paint till they're spraying just clear. Done well, this'll be a seamless repair, unnoticeable.

It depends on your tolerance, the age/condition of the car.

The quote for $2000 was to put a new outside panel on the door and to repaint and blend in the pain to match

Driver's Side back door - I don't know if that is referred to as left or right..

It is a medium to dark blue, where would I find the color number?

You can find this door easily in the Los Angeles area craigslist. It's the seaside blue pearl color. I would think a complete door will be under $200. There isn't a lot of demand for this color door.

Thank you, found exact color left rear door replacement, yesterday and was contemplating having it done. I'll do it myself, now. What's the small black hook up for?
