    Now that Patrick Wong has made the inverter coolant pump replacement a DIY, I like the idea of replacing it every 100k miles more and more.

    VERY cheap insurance.

    Woo hoo! If you buy anything from that dealer again, don't tell us about it. This episode is a reminder to have a 3rd party Toyota technician thoroughly inspect a used Prius before buying.

    Now, it is possible for loss of inverter cooling to cause the inverter computer to lose its memory. If you see another problem soon you may need to get that memory reflashed. Come to think you might ask them to do that when they replace the pump. I would hope they'd do it for no extra charge.
