    My 2005 unfortunately threw a rod after 230K miles.
    Please share any knowledge and advice you have for replacing the engine. I was thinking of going with a ~150K mile used 2nd engine and finding a local mechanic to do the work.

    How much would you be willing to spend on this repair? I'm concerned that I may be too emotionally attached to make a rational decision. I purchased her a year ago for $3000.

    might be easierto buy a new car. are these guys too far? they know everything about gen 2.
