My 2005 Prius will lose all electric then will reset as if I disconnected and reconnected the battery. Then all dashlights come on but no codes. When I park, it'll lose electric again but then reset. The battery diagnostic shows 12.4 v in accessory then 13+ while running. Help.

Have you checked the 12 V aux battery in the back? Check all the connections (12 V positive, 12 V negative and where the negative connects to the car body) are clean and tight.

Sounds like you might have a loose connection. Has anybody been doing any work back there recently?

If you reset the systems by disconnecting the 12v battery, and the lights return, there are codes there, your scanner can’t read them;).

Who is scanning the car for codes?

    What scanner are they using?

Since you are in So Cal, have you tried an independent shop?

What does the car do when the lights are displayed on the dash?

Are any of the lights flashing?

Good luck and keep us posted (y).

    This.

Remove, clean and reconnect the main battery cables AT BOTH ENDS.

It is possible to have a bad connection INSIDE the battery too.

Check the conntions at the battery posts and the bolt where the negative cable connects to the car body. Make sure all are tight.
