    Hello all,

I am picking up my used Tesla next week and need to sell my Prius. I would like to sell it all together, but I will take offers on just the conversion also.

2005 Prius blue in color. 160K, Interior is in good shape, tan with custom fit black leather seat covers and seat heaters, exterior has been repainted at some time and is faded, has a few blemishes but no big dents.

I can send more pictures for serious buyers.

    Conversion,

72 40Ah Lithium cells (about 5 years old maybe 500 cycles) cells are well balanced.
    Elcon 1500 watt 110v charger.
Can View V3 plus BMS ( i have the software and programmer in case there is a problem).
Custom Mini Bms style Balancing boards with high cut off and low alarms. (3 spare boards).
Custom battery tray that lifts for spare tire access.
Custom clear acrylic cover for batteries.
    All relays wiring and cabling.

I will provide as much information that I can, but buyer needs to know how to install , diagnose and repair this system if needed.

    Pm me if interested.

    Chris

I am open to offers. the car with the paint condition I could probably sell for 3K. the rest probably cost me at least 7K. but I would be happy to sell it at a very very discounted price to a fellow hobbyist.

Fun to see such a retro system. Reminds me of a time when the idea of PHEV's were just catching on and the Cal-cars projects. I have one of the CanView systems and still like to use it for diagnostics. (But I don't currently have a PHEV system in my Prius)
I think the first time I got to see a system similar to yours in person was back in 2006 or 2007? Good memories.

    Question for Mr Plugin:
How often a DTC will show up in your CanView conversion? and the reasoning why?
Trying to compare operations with my wife 2011.
    Thank you

What a labor of love this was! And alot of work....I was going to buy a 2012 PIP Advanced, but almost all the "Advanced" ones for sale AREN"T ...This beautiful blue PIP is tempting....How long does it take to charge, and how many stealth miles without air-conditioning or heat? I have a friend AND A mechanic who could figure out thr LI system, when needed...

Thank you for your kind words. I spent a lot of time on it. In out of gas mode when the temps are good say in the 60's probably about 35 miles. I have not tested in a couple years, I did get in the low 40's when it was new. It will get 120mpg if driven in good temps now for about 40-45 miles. It only takes a couple hours to charge for me because I do not drive very far.

The kit has now been removed and is for sale.

On the car, what shape is the hybrid battery in? Does it have an auto dimming mirror with garage door opener? Navigation? Bluetooth/ or plug-in for ipod/smart phone? Any pet/cigarette/musty odors in car? (I have no idea how much these battery systems should be, but a friend is well versed in them and can show me how to fix mine and others. He has a converted- to -battery 2009 Prius he bought from Clark Howard, and has had several converted-to-electric cars. We also have a Hybrid battery specialist who can fix individual cells) I live in Atlanta so the car would have a long journey! (We're the second best EV market after California, even though we no longer have the $3500 state rebate. LOTS of Tesla, Leafs, and Volts around...Not yet Bolts...All the EV's coming off lease and all the increased specs for Volts, Prius Prime, and Bolts are expected to create even cheaper plug-in prices than we have now....Big glut of used Leafs here going CHEAP) With all that mileage, are there parts you expect will need replacing soon? Would $5000 be too insulting an offer for kit and car? Would this be a safe, dependable hand-me-down down for teen daughter? (Since prices are ever dropping on PIP's, am thinking of getting this until can find the one I want, unless I fall in love with it, and can't bear to part with it, which is quite possible)

Hopefully you saw my private message about purchasing the kit.
I'm still interested. I posted on the other ad as well. I apologize for the redundancy.

I'd like to do a PHEV conversion on my 2008. Turn key systems ranging from 10kw to 12kw run between $7k to $9k. Is there a particular one made that anyone has had experiance with? I dont mind installing it but would prefer it installed if possible.

the only experiences are bad experiences. it would be cheaper and more satisfying to sell your car and pick up a used pip for 12-14k, or a prime for 20k.
