2005 - Sterring Knuckle Caliper Bracket Bolt Holes are threaded - Heli-Coil repair?

    Unless there is damage to the steering knuckle such as cracks, severe corrosion, or it's bent, - I wouldn't be concerned. The caliper bracket is held in place by the clamping force of the bolt when it's tight. The knuckle is squeezed between the bolt head and the bracket. There isn't much shear force (pushing against the side of the bolt itself) involved in this type of design. When you put things together properly, the bolts won't "move" in the holes at all.

    You will want to clean rust off the bolts ( and I use some loctite blue ) before torquing them to spec. If they are badly rusted consider getting new ones from the dealer
