2006 12v battery fast drain

    Playing it safe would have been to change the oil with regular Mobil 1 5W-30 (e. g.) and monitor the oil consumption for a month or two, topping up as required. Then once you had a fair idea of consumption you could then decide what measures, if any you need to take. If it doesn't use more that 1.6 quarts (i. e. the amount between the L and F marks on the dipstick) per OCI, there is no problem worth worrying about.
