    Or list on craigslist for $2000 or best offer guarantee you get $800 to $1300 within 3 days.

    Ya I agree. Prius are cheap if you know how to work on it, but for a regular person who doesn't have a tool chest and a garage or a place to work on it... it gets expensive. It might be too much of a head ache. At 200k expect more repairs. Just be prepared if you are gonna keep the car and repair the battery. IMHO, start a pretend car fund. Maybe $150 a month for car repair. Build it up to hopefully 2-3k. Or better yet, do a pretend car payment. Look at cars you can afford with your income and budget. Put that pretend monthly payment each month into a savings account.
