My Prius' battery died this week after a respectable 163731 miles. I barely got it to the dealership today. It was sluggish, engine racing, one purple bar and the battery fan was going full blast. It totally freaked me out. 21 working days for battery from Japan Replacement cost with labor for battery $2222. I've been expecting it so it's not a big deal. I figure I can then drive the car for another couple of years. By the way, does anyone know if the battery pack I'll be recieving is an improved/more modern version?
that's a great price compared to the states. i suspect you're getting gen 3 cells, but don't know for sure. all the best!
