2006 Prius rust issue? What do you guys think?

    I have a 2006 Prius with 59,000 miles. The body of the car, even the wheel wells, and door jams are all rust free, however when I was underneath the car, I noticed rust under the plastic aero panels and where jack stands go to hold the car up. Should I get this fixed or is it nothing to worry about?

    if i were you, i would wire brush it and coat it with anti rust compound. i don't bother with my own, because i don't keep them that long. i'm still waiting for the first report of a prius chassis part breaking due to rust. now, getting a bolt off? different matter.

    And If **I** were you, I wouldn't bother with it at all; nor would I worry about it either.

    About the only place in the world where you won't get underbody rust is the Sahara desert; maybe Death Valley too.
