    Thanks Bisco!

Green Bean installed the battery and it still won't start -- throwing P0A0F. Dealer is going to start looking tomorrow but I may run over and clean the MAF first.

Did you get the old gas out and put fresh gas in?

How -- with a siphon? The gas is all fresh except the small amt. that was in the can I borrowed -- less than 1/2 G. But if that was crud it certainly could be causing a problem. I'm not sure how to clean it all out without removing the gas tank.

You could disconnect the fuel line and press the start button without your foot on the brake. I think that gets the fuel pump to run. Just have a charger on your 12 volt while your doing it.

This thread fascinates me. The new battery would turn Mg1 and try to start the engine. Then if there was no gas then the code P0A0F
The way to check the fuel pump is do disconnect the fuel line ( back behind the passenger rear wheel IMG_2314.JPG IMG_2314.JPG
I suppose you could check it at the engine too.
There is no point to checking that the fuel pump is working if the new battery isn’t cranking MG1
If MG1 is turning the engine over and the fuel is pumping then the clog is in the injectors right?

Our friend just diagnosed it as water in the gas. SO, the problem was the small amt. of "gas" in the can I borrowed.

She's going to force the fuel pump on to drain the tank, then refill. Fingers crossed.

    She's back on the road!

Our friend recommended we add a bottle of fuel system cleaner to the tank -- any recommendations?
