Placed a 1-day shipping from Amazon for the coolant. Came out to the $26 + tax for 1 Gallon

Toyota Genuine Fluid 00272SLLC2 Long Life Coolant

Still looking for the R-134a online. The OReilly Auto parts link doesn't show a photo of a gauge so not sure if the price includes the can along with the kit.

And the system would NOT be low on refrigerant if there is not a leak somewhere.

Have you tested it by turning the temp down yet ?
Or are you just stuck on recharging whether it really needs it or not ??

Take it to an auto AC shop.
Doesn't have to be a Toyota dealer.
Should NOT be somebody who works out of his garage at home.

My last on this...take it to the Dealership. Let Billy Bob's A/C Service "learn" the Prius on someone else's dime. ;) Wish you the best.

Rad Overflow is empty probably because you have a leaking engine water pump. Pretty common. Take the black plastic cover off the top of the rad to expose the radiator cap. Take the cap off. Rad is probably pretty empty too.

Having owned my car for 10 years since bought new the overflow has a full line on the overflow tank. Hold a flashlight up to to the tank and you will see the FULL line. You can highlight that line with a magic marker that helps. That fluid level on that line will never ever change from the full line. If it does you have a leak.

If blowing not cold the condenser on the front of the rad may have never been cleaned. or you may have a bad ac aux fan. Put the ac on MAX HIGH both electric fans on the rad should be on. Really loud. Slamming freon into the system from a $20 bottle from autozone wont do anything except maybe damage the system. If refrigerant is low its becasue you have a leak.

Take it to ICE COLD AIR they do Prius all day. Its about $100 to charge- inject dye- and then sniff and uv test.
    Cheap.

Prius with no ac is undriveable in Tampa imho. I'm there everyday holly crap its hot.

Call Todd at TampaPrius.com and ask who he goes too.
