2007 Prius codes, what are they?

    I bought my prius from my parents. It's a 2007 and has a bunch of problems. The screen doesnt work, occasionally the dashboard lights dont turn on, and other things. About a month ago, the red triangle started to pop up, every time I would let off the break and the vehicle would slow. Now the maintenance light and check engine light is on. I used my code reader and the below is all that pops up:
    P0012
    P0012 (with some weird simple that looks like Pd)
    MIL ON
    MONITRS
    O Inc
    6 Ready
    Misfire
    Fuel
    Comp
    Catlyst
    Evap
    02 Snsr

    Can anyone help me understand what this is?

    Have you checked the oil level on the car? How long have you owned this? Mileage?

    It sounds like you're using some "generic" code reader ... and with a car needing as much love as yours sounds like, it will probably be worth your while to set up a laptop with Techstream and use that.

    Yep engine is probably out of oil. The dead dashboard is very common issue lots of posts about it. Its referred to as the combo meter.
    Use the search forum button up top and search

    combo meter

    You will struggle to repair this car without a decent hybrid capable code reader. Whatever your using does not work.

    I'm near LA. My engine was really low in oil. I got this fixed now. Any chance you can help with my screen? The display is not working, it rarely turns on. I think I need to replace it.

    replacing the combo meter is a lot of labor. search around for a shop that can handle it for a reasonable price. you can buy one on eBay, and there's a youtube video with complete instruction.
