Hey Guys, I have a 2007 Prius I bought and am the 2nd owner, they had recently replaced the Hybridd Batt. that I hit a deer with in Dec2018. Afterwards it would still crank. Funds got tight so I could not repair it. I would still crank it from time to time. One day the Batt died (12v) and I jumped it off and all was fine. Batt died again in around sep 2019. I sent it to the body shop finally and when they finished it would not crank. We replaced it and it still will not crank. It threw up an error code involving to Hybrid Batt wasn't charging or something of that sort. Any idea on what I should do? or advice?
The Prius, like most hybrids does not "crank" upon initial "starting". I think you need the services of a real Toyota shop. And/or a better description of what is really happening. If the replacement HV battery is a "rebuild", it might be bad again.
You might have unread codes (DTCs) that are still stored in the ECUs, as not OBD2 scanners are Toyota hybrid compatible. Which OBD2 device was used to retrieve the above DTCs? Here the is work up for DTC C1259 and DTC C1310 : https://share.qclt.com/%E4%B8%B0%E7%94%B0%E6%99%AE%E7%91%9E%E6%96%AF%E5%8E%9F%E5%8E%82%E8%8B%B1%E6%96%87%E6%89%8B%E5%86%8Cpdf%E6%A0%BC%E5%BC%8F/Repair%20Manual/04pruisr/05/21avn/cic12595.pdf
