    Correct. The Toyota “Limited Service Campaign” (number A0N, was discontinued) and the “Safety Recall” (number C0U) are one and the same now, if you've had either one you won't qualify for the other.

    Just in case it wasn't clear in the beginning you really need to go to the dealer to get the free recall done for the steering. It was not a problem in most vehicles, but the linkage has a potential defect that causes the exact problem you're experiences which means you won the poor quality metal lottery. Also means you may win the steering fails while driving down the highway at 80mph trophy.

    Not to pile on but the Dry dipstick usually results in some engine damage usually it wipes out the oil rings first so it's important if you start putting money into the car you check the oil frequently because the car usually becomes an oil eating monster at the very least. If driven far on no oil that usually results in blown bottom end.
    Hundreds of posts here on people who have driven there car empty of oil and resultant engine damage.
    It's really like any other car driven with no oil.
