2007 Prius with less than 28,500 miles. Here is the Car's story:
In 2007, Quantum Technologies of Irvine took some 2007 Prius Gasoline-Electric Hybrids and turned them into Hydrogen-Electric Hybrids. They sold most of them in Europe. At the end of the program they had a few left that they sold here in California. One of them was converted back to a Gasoline-Electric Hybrid. That is the car I am selling. It still has a Turbocharger on it (required for the H2-E version). I just got the car back from the shop where they tuned in the turbo. This is the zippiest Prius you will find. And it has less than 28,500 miles on it. Be the first person on your block to have a Turbocharged Prius! Priced below Kelley Blue Book. Note: Front Bumper Damage DSCN3451.JPG DSCN3449.JPG

Here is a photo of the same turbocharger that is in the car I am selling. I found this photo on the web.

I have removed the crossover pipe (bellows tubing with blue B-nut). That was something required for the H2 setup.

What type of horse power gain are we talking about? This car started with 76 HP, what does it have now? What type of fuel economy does this return?

This appears to be an electric supercharger, not a turbocharger. What is the 12v current drain when the air pump is operating?

I would say it appears to be a hybrid, both exhaust and electrically driven (and/or the electrical side is a motor-generator, spooling up and harvesting shaft power).

It is not electric. You may have thought the black cylindrical thing on the right is a motor. It is the intake connection. Are you really an engineering professor? Electrical? I had to say that. As a Mechanical Engineer, I have spent my career poking fun at Electricals whenever I get the chance. Have a Great Day!

This car wouldn't happen to have service records that can prove the mileage?

    Doh!!!
I copied the text from my Craigslist ad and did not include the price. Price is $11,800. That is below the Kelley Blue Book "Good" price for a 2007 with 28,500 miles and a backup camera. I went with "Good" due to the damaged front bumper.
I do not have records to prove the odometer was not messed with. But it would make sense that it would have low mileage because it have not been used after it's H2 conversion when it was waiting to be sold.

I do not know how much additional horsepower the turbo adds.

Thank you, the only concern I would have is the battery not the 12v. Good luck with your sale.

What state was this car originally sold and operated? It's not a CA car since it doesn't have a front license plate bracket mounted on the bumper.

I don't know where it was purchased. Quantum Technologies would have purchased a lot of them at once for the H2 Conversion program. They probably bought them in a state where the sales tax is less than California's 8%.

Not to trash your thread but this is a classic red flag car people are told to avoid on this forum. This is not a car that has any warranties for it's sophisticated "one of a kind" conversion or any Toyota factory warranty. Who would work on it if it breaks? No history on the car whatsoever other than Quantum Technologies (first time hearing of them). The mileage is almost unbelievably low. The expensive HV battery is crossing it's 8th year with no warranty on it. And it's priced at a premium for a 2007 model (because of it's low mileage).

This would only be a collector's car for it's uniqueness.
