2007 Toyota Prius dash HELP!!

    If you need a new battery and you plan to keep you car a while, biting the bullet for a new one from Toyota might be the way to go.
    Best if you can find an independent mechanic who can install it for you.

    The red triangle lit up on my '07 Prius (140000). Toyota Service said the code was POA82 (PO882).
    They couldn't give me any info but gave me plenty of attitude- 'we won't know until we do the diagnostics it could be anything'. It would take 2 hours (labor) just to figure out what the problem is.
    Anybody out the have a clue as to what the codes mean?? Thanks

    That code points to a problem with the Hybrid Battery Pack Cooling Fan 1. The second code in parenthesis is not a valid code.

    Ridiculous 2 hour diagnosis, takes 20 minutes to clean out

    Presumably the 2 hours is to work the diagnostic treeing for the P0A82 in the service manual.

    They would then go back to the OP with what they need to do to fix and the cost to fix.
