Yesterday I was at the dealer for an oil change and a few other repairs. Ended up with a brand new Prius V leaving my old Prius at the dealer. So far delighted and disappointed. When it came time to close the deal I told the manager I would buy the car if he paid the $200 service bill on the old car. He didn't even blink. <SMILE>

Primary reason for the change (still loved the 2008) was that my wife now uses a wheelchair when we are out and there is any significant walking. The chair folds down in the old car but still had to lay flat in the cargo area. It took up over 3/4 of the space and I had to put groceries in the back seat.

With the new Prius V I can stand the chair up which takes up considerably less space. I'll even be able to get a couple of suitcases in there when we go on a trip. :)

Anyway, just checking in and looking forward to finding as many tips and ideas here for the Prius V as I did when I purchased the 2008 Prius.

You are right, jzchen, mine wasn't free. The real cost in that visit was "The Belt" as the service adviser called it. That was well over $150 of the just under $200 total.
