Yesterday I bought an old Prius ('08) to have as a loaner while my son's car is down for repairs. It has 223K miles, and a number of codes/lights on the dash. I'm under no illusions about the car's longevity, but with decent service history for the last 100K miles, new tires and relatively clean body I figure it'll do for now.
Biggest items that need fixing are the airbag d+squib circuit code, RF wheel speed sensor that has the ABS/TRAC/VSC lights on and I assume that's why the cruise control is inop, and the spare tire hold down bolt was frozen in place.
I fixed the spare tire bolt, and aired it up. I'll need to keep an eye on the spare to see if it has a leak. The airbag light/code seems to have been fixed with a salvage yard clock spring that I installed this evening. Tomorrow I'll tackle the wheel speed sensor.
The TPMS is also on the fritz (6 different codes) so I'll scan all the sensors and see what's what there. I don't count that too high on the priority list though, I know how to work a tire gauge. :)

I'd also like to figure out why the smart key features don't work. I only got one FOB, and the battery was dead in it. I replaced that battery but it's still acting like the FOB is just dead: lock/unlock buttons don't do anything, the FOB has to be inserted into the dash to start the car. I wonder if my Techstream will allow me to see if the computers are seeing anything from the FOB?
    Anyhoo, thanks for reading.

OH, how do I tell if mine is the 'touring' model? It has navigation, but I'm not sure if that's exclusive to the touring or not?
