2008 Prius...Drivers' Seat Leather Ripping Up...Advice?

    Hello All,

    I have a 2008 Prius and the side/bolster on the drivers' seat is torn up. What have folks done to repair/replace/manage this issue?

    I have seen some replacement seats for sale on OfferUp (mostly junk yards selling them...I am in LA) although it is kind of a mixed bag.

    Would it be worth trying to find an upholstery shop to repair this?

    Other options/solutions that have worked for folks?

    It's a 2008 Touring model with dark grey leather seats.

    eBay? Not much within driving distance, mostly $30 seat covers.

    Search using Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

    Lots within an hours drive depending on your zip, input zip code, even narrows it down to leather and photos.

    Cheapest $85 Bakersfield page 5 attached pdf, average $200

    Wow thanks...I had not seen that site before (car-part)...it looks like there is a ton there.

    Another question -- I had seen in another post on this forum that folks had recommended dismantling/reassembling seats to move passenger side seat to drivers' side.

    Has anyone done that, is it difficult, and are there any resources out there for how to do it etc?

    Refitting seats to other side is a pita at best bolsters are usually shot etc I'd rather buy seats on e bay and brackets to fit in car . I had recaros in my 77 sr5 TE51 out of a Porsche I believe. Long ago . I worked on salvage . Lotsa sport seats on the Bay too
