2008 Prius: engine idling a bit high: solutions anyone?

    Yeah it's odd that it'd be idling enough to be noticed. And going down to a single bar of charge is not normal, at least not in 3rd gen. Applicable to 2nd gen as well?

    The only time it does that is going up steep hills. The one near my place is one mile up and steep. But once I get on the highway, it charges up pretty quickly, usually back to green in a couple of miles.

    It does have the EPA seal of approval. So, maybe that's why.
