Yeah same here with Bastrop..Live in Bastrop, and work in Austin. I put both where room permits but usually just put Austin..Everyone knows where that is! :p
Even though Bastrop was almost the state capitol, is the second oldest city in Texas and has the most historical buildings in Texas (or so they say), nobody knows where it is...

    Take care!

You are a very wise man. Seaside Pearl #6 Touring is the only right combination (ok I'm a little biased... ;-)

Dealer emailed me today and said that the 08 Touring #6 will be in within 2 weeks. He is ready to firm up the price. His initial deal over the phone without seeing our car was o.k. ,
but not a deal I would go with. This is a dealer a hundred miles from me. The local dealer totally insulted me. I won't be back there.

I'll receive my Prius in about 2 weeks.
My dealer says that Toyota does not have "model years", so he can not tell me what year my car will be.
    (I know, it's BS)

I do know the VIN of my car, is there any way to use that to determine what year my car is? It was manufactured on 27. July, by the way.

Yeah pretty much..Don't know what deal Golfer got up there in Killeen but down here in tree hugger country (Austin is considered a clean air city) the cars are so popular they don't have to negotiate(same thing with the VW TDI's). Heck down here in ripoff country we don't even get the discounts that others got on the packages on the '07's..Guess the GST region works different than the rest of the world..Oh well..I was just pleased to get one..Back in '05 when we wanted one the wait was over a year..We needed a new car so bought a new TDI Jetta..What an eye opening experience that was..Will be so glad to pass that one on to it's new owner..
Hey you know we are really getting screwed down here..I just looked at the main Toyota site, they list the Touring model at $23220.00, and on the GST Toyota site they list the Touring at $23785.00 and they have not updated to the '08 info yet. I wonder why they have $565.00 more on the same car? I bet it will be even more once they add the higher prices for the 2008.

    Hey Lawdawg,
If you get yours in time you may still get some tax benefit..The rest of us who's cars are conveniently dated for delivery after October 1 won't. Hope you get yours quick!!

Look at the tenth character of the VIN, 7 = 2007 and 8 = 2008.

I have just noticed that you are in Norway. The information I have given is for a North American VIN and may not work in Norway.

It may seem this does not work for Norway.
My VIN is JTDKB20U603296187, so the 10th digit is 0.

    Any other theories? ;)

I have tried your VIN on several decoders and they all came back "invalid"!.
However, here is the page that helps you decode a VIN number.
#10 digit is the model year as said in previous post by other.
    http://www.autocheck.com/consumers/car-fac...e-vin-decode.do
In your case, the model year digit is '0' which is invalid. It should be '8'.
VIN is from manufacturers. I don't think Norway, as a country, use a different VIN system.
