Can you just get OFF my case please.

If you are going to refute something I said, kindly quote the whole thing and not just part of it out of context.

No, better yet just stop being an argumentative nice person.

I quoted the part which is not factual in its entirety. You said (and keep saying) that, at 11.9 volts, things with a Prius start getting flaky around that point. How is that out of context?

I'm not being argumentative (and am a nice person), but if you're going to keep stating falsehoods, expect the information to be challenged.

Sometimes on PriusChat I write nice person to mean what the PriusChat nanny rewrites as nice person.

Sometimes I do that too. Some other times I don't, though.

OK, I give up. You are right. Now can we stop this pointless argument ??

I did leave out one word "can", corrected above.
It is absolutely correct that it CAN START getting flaky below 12.0 volts.
AND it doesn't hurt to double check the battery anyway.

What exactly do you think is helpful about creating a crap storm because of this ??

Like, CAN in the quantum-tunneling sense, like the way it CAN happen that Sam disappears from wherever he is and pops up instantaneously intact in Uzbekistan?

    Sure, can't argue with that.

Meanwhile, a lot of PriusChat readers have practical problems to solve with actual cars, and they already have decent conservative advice in their repair manuals.

... conservative because even the low end of that range is plenty adequate for people to proceed with troubleshooting the car.
