    Highway driving all is good.
Look down and all the lights are on and I press the gas and nothing.
Coast to the shoulder and turn it off.
Turn on but wont go into drive and no gas or electric engine.
    Inverter?
    Pump?
    Battery?

All good questions. Ask the car. :) Once it gives you the codes, we can chime in.

Or have dealership check it out, get the codes.

I'll vote inverter, just due to suddenness of the shut down.

Do you know if the inverter recall was done?

I'll say inverter also, same thing happened to my Prius. I believe the transistor failure was due to the accumulation of high current & heat through the life of the car. Depending on how much damage was done before the recall, the software update just extends the life of the transistor and not a fix.
