2010 Prius burning lots of oil

    I have a 2010 Prius with 130,000 miles on it It has started to burn about 1qt of oil every 1200 miles .... My dealer told me he is seeing a lot of Prius 's with this problem he thinks Toyota is going to recall this engine soon. The Camry and Rav4 has already been recalled for this problem defective rings and pistons. So I'm waiting............ Has anybody else heard of this problem? Thanks

    eye's are opening...

    Amazing record, the post record that is, but before that twice complained about bad rings. Amazing though @ 100K no problems as per OP.

    Toyota sent me a check for $150. No kidding.

    But I think that was for the '05 Camry "hesitating transmission" issue. Somebody must have filed a class-action suit?

    But my Camrys never burned a drop of oil in 21 years!! :)
