2010 Prius combination meter failed

    Well the turd gen cars are getting a little worse now. My combination meter failed today, dash went completely dark. I guess the same problem that's been plaguing the 2nd gen cars, now going to the older turd gens.

    (Let me at least be the first to commend you on you excellent command of the English language). "Turd".

    Do you think it finally succumbed to our California heat? (I put a sunshade up on the windshield when not in use. I hope this helps prolong it's life)...

    (EDIT- That reminds me of another word, maybe not an official word, that I haven't seen in a while. It was used when someone was complaining about his/her not so friendly car, that put a good laugh in me. I wonder if the forum filters will prevent it:. craptastic)...

    When Toyota first issued the extended warranty for the 2004-2009 models, they claim that cold weather caused it's failure. But we both know Arcadia has not experienced any cold weather in the past 200 days
