    Hi guys,
I just got my 2010 prius IV a few months ago. It got really hot today in the central valley (100f) and my car is very noticeably lagging when I press the accelerator (maybe 2 second lag) I dont know if this is just from the heat, or the weather is just coincidental. The car has a new fram air filter, and recently had the timing chain cover seal replaced by the dealership under warranty. I use my car to drive amazon flex maybe twice a week and I really need this problem solved. The car is showing no codes, has oil halfway in between low and full. Oh the car has 114k. Should I clean the maf? Change the pcv valve?

    Welcome to Prius Chat (y).

    Some questions:

    • Have you just began noticing the lag?
    • How many miles have you put on your Prius?
    • Do you hear the battery fan by the rear passenger seat at all?
    • Has the egr circuit been cleaned as well as the intake manifold?
    • Is the mpg declining and by how much from normal?
    Keep us posted (y).

Did the HV battery fan run in high speed all the time?
Did the engine run all the time while stopped?
Those are signs of overheated HV battery.
