2010 Prius leak at gas tank

    Sticking a rag in the GAS tank and wiping is NOT a good idea!!!!! Friction!
    JB weld might not work, I agree. But some apoxy probably would.
    Or melting some plastic and spreading on the area would, it would melt to it and bond.
    TAR would work! I'm certain one of the auto parts stores has something that will bound with HDPE plastic.
    Or maybe one of the hardware stores.
    Draining the tank is not that difficult and then you can get it dry, cleaned and melted.
    You could always put apoxy on a small screw and screw it in! I would drill a small hole first. :)
    Replacing the tank for a small hole like that is extreme, unless you are paranoid about it. :)

    Also, here in Florida it is common to see pine needles in trees! Rather sticking out of trees,
    NON pine trees. The wind will blow so fast, like during a hurricane, they will penetrate the tree.
