2010 Prius oil leak

    Have an oil leak from this area somewhere. I'd say about 3 quarts between oil changes. I am also curious what that sensor is with the black base. And the black bolt that looks half screwed in?

    Looks like an oil sensor The first picture I think is what's leaking isn't that the oil pressure sensor it's hard for me to tell with that close up My 2010 the oil pressure sensor was leaking pretty bad and see it running down the front of the motor

    Can you clarify the point of view of that picture, say: you're looking from above, below, front or rear of the engine? Maybe take another picture, back a little further.

    3 quarts is lot of oil. The place car is usually parked at should have large oil stain. Is there? My other car has similar looking ”oil moist” in couple places but just 0.5l is lost during 20000km. Probably that 0.5l get out from tailpipe:)

    I believe that is the oil pressure sensor. About $20-30, and fairly easy to change.
    Just clean out the connector with brake cleaner.
