Always listen to your parents. Get the car they want.

Fair enough, but my parents are pretty much letting me decide.

The CR-Z in Australia will be a 2+2, like most RHD markets. The Sydney motorshow will be start this Friday, so i'll go and look at the CR-z and Insight in person for the first time. Thanks for everyones help :)

That's great that the CR-Z is available as a 2+2 in some countries. It's unfortunate, however, that this is not an option here in the US. Only having two seats means it's not likely to sell well in the US market:

Sometimes Honda's marketing (in the US) just makes no sense to me. Or as momma Gump would say, "Stupid is, as stupid does".

Furthermore, while looking sporty, at only 122 HP, it's not going to convince anybody that it's anything more than just a compromise.

    Good luck with the Z...

No. Most cars that are sold in both countries tend to follow the US setup so ours is a 2 seater as well.

Why? no idea. Could be safety issues (i.e. pass US safety standards with US dummys) or maybe they figured no American or Canadian is gonna think about sitting back there (it is fairly small to be honest).

The OP is comparing Harry & David Pears with over ripe Costco tomatoes.
