My fathers 2010 Prius has the POAA-526 Code- hybrid battery system isolation fault

    It is also showing:

    C1259-HV system Regenerative Fault

    B1475-AC inverter cooling heating malfunction

Took to the toyota dealer, $350 later they said they thought the ac compressor was bad but couldn't say for sure. They wanted $1800-2200 to replace it with no guarantees it would fix the issue.

Bottom line this car has 61,000 miles on it. 6 months ago the intake gaskets and manifold were replaced to the tune of $1500.

Fed up with the car and toyota "quality",need help diagnosing.

    Where do I start?

    Thanks

The DTC for Hybrid Battery Voltage System Isolation Fault indicates one side of the 220VDC is grounded. The AC Compressor is part of this DC voltage system so this is a reasonable possibility. They should be able to isolate the AC Compressor as the source of the ground before replacing it.

If you have another dealer or a Hybrid repair facility you can try to get a second opinion.
