Upgraded to a gen 3 and love it. Drove 9 hour from dealer I got it from with no issues

3 days into ownership get a engine shake from stop when I hit the gas with a raw fuel smell so obviously a plug and/or coil issue. Replaced all 4 even though no code yesterday. Side note sorry about the violent thought but whoever designed the 3rd gen engine compartment needs to suffer a very slow painful death that lasts years for making you have to remove the wiper motor to change plugs.

Drove for about an hour today and after warm up the shake is back and 20 min later it throws a P0301 so new coil and plug did not fix the misfire and it actually got bad enough to throw the code now.

I did notice the coil connector on cylinder 1 and 3 are black while 2 and 4 are white so did someone possibly replace them and maybe not got good connection?

Any idea why I'm getting misfire on new plugs and coils?

What’s the miles on it? Maybe head gasket failed but EGR and intake not cleaned? Or head warped?

They failed to repair the headgasket and ripped you off in the process.... Probably a fraudulent work order. You were doing so good with the most reliable Prius (Gen2) ever built and you decided to do the exact opposite and buy the worst most garbage Prius ever built? Why? What's wrong with the perfection of a Gen2 Prius? I'd contact a lawyer in the state you bought it in and spend a few hundred dollars to get that Lawyer to write a letter that scares the hell out of / holds the criminals who sold you this defective lemon accountable, as well as forces them to hire a lawyer to deal with all their fears that were created from your lawyer's letter.

You should take it back quickly and tell them to repair it. Most dealerships will
give you a 30 day warranty.
Who replaced the head gasket? The previous owner, or dealership?
Perhaps they failed to clean out the cooler and exhaust manifold?

If you look inside the cylinders you might find coolant, or cleaner piston in #'s 1 and 2.
    Are you loosing coolant?

If it possible that the connecter was repaired, but not corretly.

If it is head gasket or EGR will it run fine for 10 to 20 minute after cold start? The shake only starts after engine warms up

the head gasket often starts with an extremely smal leak, which may change with temp

One person's "shake" is another persons "shutter" is another person's "death rattle." There's almost never enough details when someone says any of these related to early Gen3 Prius engine problems.

The good news is that if you only have minor headgasket damage and coolant loss is low you can get a couple years of driving around town without much issue. Just don't drive when it's hot and don't stray too far from home/tow truck range. Once shake gets really bad you run risk of having to replace the transmission dampener.

Would say between hard shake and engine trying to jump out of the car. Seems to be worse if I have to turn and accelerate so may be engine mount also

That'd be a relief if it was that... Seems possible...
