2011 Prius: open/unused housing/socket/hose on EGR preheat loop

    Does anyone know what the open socket/housing that is circled in the attached photos is? It is on the EGR preheat loop between the catalytic converter and the EGR cooler. I noticed this while changing the spark plugs on the 2011 Prius.

    That's what used to be the high point bleed:).

    They did away with that later on in the Gen3 production cycle;).

    On our old 2010 it had one that could be used but wasn't necessary(y).

    Check if it's actually open. It might be sealed.

    If you can unscrew it, that might be the bleeder valve for the coolant?

    Edit: Looks like I replied a minute too late lol
