Hi! I'm new here but I've been searching like mad and have not come across my issue.

I have a 2012 Prius Two, a monitor with bluetooth capabilities. I use the Samsung Galaxy Note II with Sprint on Jellybean Android.

I have tried numerous music players on Android and here's what happens:

Music plays fine. Bluetooth paired perfectly. Randomly the entire head unit will reboot. There is no pattern. It happens after about a minute and a half. It shuts off and comes back on.

I do not have an AUX in unfortunately. When I tried my wife's HTC EVO 4G on Android It worked perfectly. Only bluetooth.

I tried to install entune. No dice. it says that ny VIN is invalid. Ehhh...nope.

Has anyone seen anything like this? I'd rather get rid of the car than my phone (completely serious). I bought the car 2 days ago

    Hmm..

I thought you were having the same problem as me.

My problem is that I'll be playing Audiobooks, and all of a sudden the head unit will show the paused. But my phone will merrily keep playing along. I have to hit pause on the phone, wait 5 seconds, and hit play again. Takes about 40 minutes for it to happen.

    Aw that sucks man!

What kind of phone do you have?

I have been researching for several days now and can't come across anything similar.

I tried my co-worker's iPhone and it worked flawlessly. Very strange

Have you plugged in you phone into the USB port in the console and using it like an MP3. Maybe your phone needs a software update to rid it of a Bluetooth glitch. Hell, I don't know. Just a thought.

i have the same problem. My system goes black, then reboots. Doesn't matter if i'm using my phone (Note 3 on kitkat) using bluetooth or iTouch connected through the usb. My entune software is on the latest one 3. something too. I hate my stereo with passion.

Probably should take it to the dealer and see if they can replace it under warranty to eliminate the head unit from being a problem.

If you have tried a different phone and it works flawlessly as you stated, then you have a phone problem. Make sure your ISO is the latest version. Either that or call a Apple and talk to them. You obviously have you phone paired or configured incorrectly.
