2012 Prius C Four - map lights auto-on not working

    Until yesterday, when I got my car washed at a full service car wash, when I stepped near my door, my map lights faded on.

    All of a sudden, they don't. They work when turned on or when I open my doors, but this secruity feature no longer happens.

    Can anyone suggest what I can try to turn the feature back on?

    I have a 2012 Prius C Four (so it's the keyless start w/ fob)

    On my 2010 Liftback the doors need to be locked for the map light feature to work.

    Does your c work this way?

    Yes. It does. I tried last night 3-4 times. I checked the lights manually. I'll try it again. But I know I was lockingthe door as I was trying last night. :)

    Is the map light switch in the door position and not off? :)

    Also are you being sure to move outside of the range of the SKS and then back up to the door?

    Ok - I am soo glad I asked, and you mentioned the 'moving outside the range' - I just walked up to it (while parked at work) and it lit up. Ugh. I made up this issue by not moving out of range before trying it last night - also, my husband was stanging by it, and he also has a FOB. Oh well - thank you!
